Meet the Founders of [sei]

It’s about time we share the team behind [sei].

As mission-driven founders who live and breath the content we create and share with all of you, our goal is to connect with you all on a deeper level. And the first piece to that puzzle is sharing the stories of who we are, and why we started.

[sei] began 24 months ago. Both of us came from backgrounds in growing brands on social media, and we quickly connected over a shared vision.

Our early success came from understanding how to gain, and hold, attention online. But over time, we realized we were feeding into a system we no longer believed in.

Social media was meant to connect people, spark ideas, and inspire growth. But somewhere along the way, it became a distraction—pulling people further from themselves, their goals, and their real lives.

We started [sei] to change that.

Allow us to introduce ourselves:

[Jimmy Johnson]

I’ve been a creator for as long as I can remember. Drawing, painting, and eventually making my first stop-motion video in 6th grade art class.

That moment sparked something. I realized I could take ideas from my head and turn them into something I could package & share.

What started as a way to make people laugh became a deeper passion. Five YouTube channels later—ranging from Madden gameplay to college vlogs—I never stopped. When TikTok came around, I began posting short versions of the same content I’d always loved making. Within the first 90 days of daily posting, I hit 200k followers, and suddenly, the business side of content creation opened up.

I said yes to everything. Videographer gigs. Editing jobs. Without realizing it, I’d built a small client base as a multi-faceted video creator.

That momentum led to two years as a full-time entrepreneur and creator. I launched another channel—this time managing everything end-to-end. That project grew to 140k YouTube subscribers and over 350 million views across platforms.

Then I met Andrew.

We connected through content and he hit me up with an idea to really take our skills and do something truly meaningful with them… I was all in. Building upon our experience to share messages that make a positive impact gives meaning to the content we’re creating. It’s been 24 months but this is all just setting the groundwork for impact that will genuinely make real change in how and what people are consuming with their 12+ hours a day on devices.

[Andrew Fine]

Over the past 5.5 years, I’ve worked across every layer of social marketing.

From building and launching brands in the Web3 space, to running a network of 20M+ followers that generated over 1.5B impressions per month. I’ve been apart of marketing initiatives for major clients like HBO, Amazon, Universal Studios, Interscope, and more.

I’ve managed teams of social media specialists, built workflows from scratch as a Senior Operations Manager, and been hands-on in everything from ideation and content strategy to execution and scaling.

I’ve seen it all—from the bird’s-eye view of social media to the nuts and bolts of what actually makes it work.

But after years of working in social, I realized I was on the wrong side. I was helping feed the machine that was pushing low-value content to the masses - content that disconnected people from reality, made them chase trends like eating Tide Pods or marinating chicken in Nyquil. I saw firsthand how this stuff impacts my generation, and I knew I had to shift.

I wanted to take the skills I’d built and apply them toward something deeper—something useful. That’s where [sei] was born. A content agency rooted in purpose. Where I get to create meaningful content, build relationships with some of the greatest thinkers of our time, and amplify their ideas to millions.

This isn’t just content. It’s a mission.

I’m here to replace useLESS content with useFUL content—and inspire the next generation to think bigger, live better, and find their genius.

[What’s Next?]

One of our first meetings was about setting the foundation for what we’re really building and the vision was clear: replace useless content with useful content. And do it by amplifying the voices that truly matter.

We made a list of 50 people we admire. People we knew we could help bring to the forefront of social media. Brick by brick, we’ve chipped away at that list.

Today, our world-class team works with world-class minds, and it’s been a blessing to help their ideas reach millions.

But the mission doesn’t stop there. Nine months ago, we launched our own brand page—because the impact we want to make goes far beyond just our clients. It’s about shifting the entire culture of content.

We share our own content: Newsletters, social media posts, and many more outlets to come.

We’re starting small. And thinking big.

Thank you for being here. We can’t wait to connect with every single one of you in person.
