Jesse Itzler’s Genius Talk

The first Genius Talk is live on YouTube. Check it out below.

Jesse Itzler is an entrepreneur, 2x NYT bestselling author, ultramarathoner, co-founder of Marquee Jet (sold to Warren Buffett), co-founder of Zico Coconut Water (sold to Coca-Cola), co-owner of the Atlanta Hawks, and a proud father of 4, and so much more!

For Jesse’s talk, we built something that had never been done before. Over 1,000 photos from every chapter of his life, rendered into a cinematic memory wall surrounding him as he speaks. Every photo. Every memory. Every milestone. Built into a world designed around one man’s legacy.

Here are the Genius ideas from his talk:

1. There are two sides to business. Financial and spiritual. If you have a billion dollars and your spirit is zero, a billion times zero is still zero. Win financially without sacrificing who you are.

2. Anyone can care the most. Only one person can be the richest, the funniest, or the best looking. But anyone can care the most. Pour your soul into everything you do. Customers feel soul. Soul doesn’t live on a spreadsheet.

3. Attitudes over skills. Skills can be taught. Enthusiasm, passion, honesty, and integrity cannot. If you ooze the right attitudes out of your pores, amazing things happen.

4. Compliment. Congratulate. Console. The formula for building deep, meaningful, lasting relationships. Business can be transactional. Relationships cannot.

5. Rip up the playbook. If nobody taught you how to do your job, how would you do it? That’s where innovation comes from. That’s where separation from your competition comes from.

6. Believe in the end of your story. If there’s only one person who can get the job, believe it’s going to be you. If you don’t believe in the end of your story, who else will?

7. All you have left is your story. Everything else gets sold off or is gone. So make it the best story you could possibly make it.
