It’s Your Time.

[it's your time]

Why Our Tagline Is:

It’s Your Time.

We’ve all heard the phrase: “Time is your most valuable resource.”

But do we really understand what that means?

Time is hard to conceptualize.

It’s invisible, constant, and too easy these days to lose track of..

But while we struggle to value it—

Big Tech doesn’t.

Your attention doesn’t.

And your goals definitely don’t.

That’s why we say:

It’s Your Time — they profit off of.

It’s Your Time — to reclaim.

It’s Your Time — to go for it.

Let us explain.

Reason #1: It’s Your Time They Profit Off Of

Time = Revenue.

Companies like TikTok and Meta make money EVERY SINGLE second you spend on their platforms.

In 2023, Meta made over $131 billion in ad revenue, just from selling your attention. The more you spend on a platform, the more ads you see — and the more money the company makes.

We’re not saying social media is evil.

What we are saying and what our core ethos is at [sei] is that we are not getting a good return on our investment, which is why the content we always produce is high-value as best as we can.

Most of what we consume online today is the opposite. We’re constantly fed low-value content, with an algorithm that is designed to expose every human behavior, psychological trick in the book, and even the 2024 word of the year was literally Brain Rot.

And our generation is consuming so much of it, it’s making tech companies rich, while leaving us more distracted, divided, and drained.

Dino Ambrosi, one of our campaign sponsors, said it best in his viral TED Talk:

“Social media isn’t free. You pay for it with your time.”

So the question is: How much is your time really worth?

Any additional time outside of your worth, you are getting ripped off.

Reason #2: It’s Your Time to Reclaim

The average teenager spends over 9 hours a day on their phone.

That’s 12 years of your life lost to screens over a lifetime.

Dino has worked with thousands of students, some with screen time reports over 17 hours a day.

And what did he find?

No one actually wants to spend that much time on their phone.

Weapons of mass distraction are in every kid’s pocket. And most of us don’t feel in control.

That’s why we say: it’s your time to reclaim.

So what can you do?

Step 1: Be aware.

Track your screen time. Don’t judge yourself—just observe.

Step 2: Add friction.

Like any habit, you can’t rely on willpower alone.

That’s where tools like Flip come in—a physical device that turns your smartphone into a flip phone by locking down your distracting apps.

Flip was created by Jenner Kearns, one of our campaign partners.

It’s simple: going for a walk, dinner with friends, or just trying to read?

Tap once to lock in. Tap again to reconnect.

Because we all know this isn't just about logging off

It’s about getting your time back.

Reason #3: It’s Your Time to Go For It

Seven months ago, I couldn’t run 3 miles without pain.

I went to a physical therapist to see if my knees worked. Long story short, they work, just not well. But I had a goal in mind

I committed to something I never thought I could do:

Run 100 miles.

Over 7 months, I’ve trained through pain, doubt, and excuses—

because I wanted to prove something to myself.

Not to flex discipline.

But to remind myself: we all have something we want to go for.

We tell ourselves: Next year.

When I’m ready.

After I figure things out.

But what if we just did it anyway?

This campaign is your reminder to go for it.

The idea.

The challenge.

The thing you’ve been sitting on.

Don’t slow down. Don’t wait. Just go. Because It’s Your Time.

Thank you.
